We are committed to the safety and well-being of our patients and staff.  The Department of Homeland Security and state governments have deemed Occupational Therapy an essential component of health care during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic; therefore, we  remain open to serve those in need. We are taking extensive preventative measures, guided by the CDC, to protect our patients and employees who enter our office. At Progressive Hand Therapy (PHT), we treat patients who have a disorder of the shoulder, elbow, & hand . Our licensed occupational therapists/certified hand therapists have intricate knowledge of upper extremity function and structure, and we work with patients to prevent injury or impairment, restore gross and fine motor skills, and enhance participation in activities of daily living.

All patients receive one-on-one treatment from a certified hand therapist. We  collaborate with your physician to create your treatment plan, using the highest clinical standards in the field.

We offer flexible appointment scheduling: Monday through Saturday

Mon: 9-7, Tues: 9-7, Wed: 9-7, Thurs: 9-7, Fri: 9-7, Sat: 8-1.

We also work with many insurance plans. Medicare, Worker’s Comp and No Fault insurances accepted.

Our staff is warm and supportive, and our soothing, sun-filled space provides a healing environment.

Our Services


All services at PHT begin with a comprehensive evaluation that includes a detailed medical history and review of operative reports. Treatments include strengthening / endurance training, sensory re-education, fine motor coordination, activities of daily living, work conditioning, ergonomic training and individualized home programs.

PHT therapists provide both pre-op and post-op splinting. These services include custom fabrication of thermoplastic splints, and sizing/fitting of pre-fabricated splints.


PHT has therapists certified in Kinesio taping, which is often prescribed for the treatment of tendonitis. Kinesio taping provides support and
stability for joints and muscles while reducing pain and inflammation.

A dynamic approach uniquely designed to conquer the needs of athletic injuries. Increased competitiveness in sports has led to high stress injuries at younger age groups.

Early intervention following injury is critical to a full recovery and safe return to sport without re – injury.

Highly skilled therapists specializing in orthopedic injuries to the upper extremity work closely with trainers and coaches to safely return athletes back to sport.

Our Staff

Progressive Hand Therapy Tech Staff
    Kelli Anderson co-founded Progressive Hand Therapy together with Jayne Hurst in 2007. Kelli graduated in 1989 from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. After five years of practice at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ, she became a certified hand therapist (CHT). Kelli went on to work in corporate hand therapy, where she was responsible for laying the groundwork for new hand therapy programs. At this point, she became active in working with the teenage population and attained her certification in Kinesiotaping.
    Following her own battle with breast cancer in 2003, Kelli became a board certified lymphedema therapist (CLT) with a specialty in post-mastectomy lymphedema syndrome. She subsequently founded the Breast Rehabilitation and Healing Center in Westwood, NJ, which operates as a separate center within the practice of Progressive Hand Therapy.
    Kelli is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and The National Lymphedema Network.
  • Jayne Hurst
    Jayne Hurst Owner / MS, OTR/L, CHT
    Jayne Hurst co‐founded Progressive Hand Therapy with Kelli Anderson in 2007. Jayne is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist with more than 18 years of clinical experience. In her five years at Hand Surgery Associates in New York City with doctors Robert Beasley, Alamgir Isani, Mihye Choi and David Friedman, she gained expertise in wound care, post-operative splinting and rehabilitation.
    Jayne has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University, where she was a member of the varsity women’s gymnastics team. She then attained a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Touro College, graduating as valedictorian. Jayne is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Adrianne Maye
    Adrianne Maye
    Adrianne is an Occupational therapist who has been working for over 3 years. Her clinical affiliations have been between a SNF and outpatient hand therapy. Adrianne was in an accelerated program at Seton Hall University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in social and behavioral sciences with a minor in psychology and a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. She is currently working towards her hours to be eligible to sit for the certified hand therapy examination and achieve her goal of becoming a CHT.
  • Justin Hurst
    Justin Hurst MS, OTR/L, CHT
    Justin is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist with more than 12 years of clinical experience. His professional affiliations have included hospital, corporate and private practice at Hand Surgery Associates and then at Dr. Alamgir Isani’s Surgery of the Hand and Wrist in New York City.
    Justin obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University, where he was a team captain of the Varsity Men’s Wrestling Team. He then earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Touro College, graduating summa cum laude. Justin is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists.
